	The School of Chemistry UCD In appealing to a wider, more educated and discerning audience, the School of Chemistry and Chemical Biology realised that they would benefit from an online image make-over. After completing a competitive tender process and subsequent due diligence, Active Online was selected as the vendor of choice. Active Online proposed a comprehensive solution that would meets and exceed the requirements, while at the same time delivering value for money. Our Brief
	As an advanced centre of research excellence we need to communicate more effectively with potential students, researchers and academics in advance of the next academic year. We would like a clean, spacious design that reflects our professionalism and advanced facilities with a focus on clear navigation to areas of interest within our defined audience.
	Our Solution Active Online created a simple but professionally finished graphic design and balanced CSS/XHTML layout that sets the required mood and provides for clear navigation and ease of use. Navigation clues lead the visitor to more detail on the schools primary focus, i.e. Research and Education. A secondary focus is provided on common areas of interest managed within a notice board environment. A cost-effective content management solution was also provided to simplify minor edits and regular in-house maintenance.
